I tried to make my blog cute....

and totally failed. Now it just looks stupid. Anyone care to help? HAHA. I get really impatient with these things.
Tonight was our second Marriage Prep class. I had to go by myself this time because Paul had to stay at night two of group photos. After it was over I went back (I'd been there helping before Institute) and we finished up about midnight. After all day at work and not fully having recovered from Monday night's photos, I'm dead. Pray that I make it through tomorrow so that I can rest up for our trip to DC this weekend- speaking of which, I should probably figure out who can take Regina for us. There's a girl who loves Regina but she's taking her for Spring Break next Saturday so.... poo. Maybe some church friends.
Institute was great. We're also going to start going on Thursday nights in Radford which is like 20 minutes away but we'll have to be half an hour late every week because Paul always has a meeting from 6-7. Institute is an hour and a half though so it's definitely worth it. Have I ever told you that my dream job would be to teach Institute or Seminary? How cool would it be to get to spend all day every day immersed in the scriptures and the teachings of modern prophets and apostles- AAAAH! I wonder how I could land an amazing job like that.....
Paul has an interview with some distinguished alumni or whatever of KU this weekend in DC. We're going to stay with his cousin Erek and his family. I so love them, especially Erek's wife Mirelle. She's AMAZING! I love her so much! She's better than I could ever have imagined a big sister. She's so sweet and honest and kind and good. I want to be a mom like she is. OH! and did I mention she's fluent in something like 6 languages? Incredible. I love their kids too, especially the newest, Newl. He's such a good baby, so happy and beautiful. (Can't tell I want one, can you?) We have these really adorable pictures of Paul holding him. All of their kids are great though and also ridiculously brilliant. I love going to vist them.

So, even that post was boring- like most of them are, I'm going to end there. I also should be in bed but my narcs haven't kicked in yet.... Boo.

Lots of love!

Okay... I'm a total butt....

I really have written pages and pages for this year's blog. My problem is that I am wordy and extremely ADD and I never get everything out that I want to and by the time I remember to finish said blog, there's something new to write about. Tonight, I'm going to start simple.
Paul and I now go as a couple for the Singles' "Marriage Prep" Institute class. I think it's going to be really fun and educational. Paul has raved about the Institute teacher (he had him as a Freshman) and after last night's class, I can see why. Brother Bowman is totally awesome. The first class we went to was on Chastity and the importance/significance of proper intimacy- everyone was really mature, thank goodness and we watched an AMAZING talk by Elder Holland (pretty much one of my favorites ever- if that's allowed). Afterward, the Singles' Ward Missionaries (who came over to our house for dinner over Christmas break and were super great with Regina) came up and said that they were disappointed we hadn't given any insight... Awkward.... We did meet a guy who's fiance is in Switzerland for the semester and another couple that will be joining our Blacksburg ward next fall. I get so ridiculously excited for people getting married! It's just about my most favorite thing in life and I can't help but be giddy for everyone who takes that step properly. This institute class is so the perfect place for us.

I got to visit teach one of my sisters for the first time this week. I love her. I really want to be around her as much as possible. I want to hang out with her and talk with her for hours. I think her husband is awesome too. He was supposed to go on splits with the missionaries but that fell through so he sat and talked with us while we laughed about birth control and bad parts of town to get lost in. I feel more and more like staying here for Paul's graduate work would just be wonderful! Everything is just seeming to fall into place. We'd have a townhouse that's bigger than our apartment with an actual kitchen and a washer/dryer for 200 less than our apartment now (which isn't even a luxury place), I'd have a great paying full time job at Tech working with nice people and I could see Paul a lot more during the day. We know people here. We could have a GARDEN!!!! Regina would have a yard to run around in. Paul would be in a great program with good people from the ward. We might have a superior piano- ah! it's not such a farfetched dream! AND we would only have to move across town instead of across the country. I know it's not any closer to family and that's a bummer because we're so dead set on having a baby as soon as possible but I'm not horrified like I used to be. Yes, I'll still hate the hippies and the rampant drinking and the fact that no one uses the 90% of campus roads devoted to cross walks but it just all seems so nice!

I found these Friday fill in things. I like them. They're easy enough that I can do them in ten minutes so my new goal is to fill them out with Paul every week.
1. Give me _____ and I'll _____. K(my blood type... try to donate blood tomorrow.) P(a book on Global Economics that isn't socialist propaganda... devour it.)
